We all recognize the name Hitachi, and when it comes to air conditioning, Hitachi offers products for the home and for the commercial work area. There are four different product lines of Hitachi air conditioners, and they are classified according to their uses.
Room Air Conditioners
Hitachi room air conditioners all come in split types, as the trend today is turning toward split type systems. They can be used for both home and light commercial purposes and they come in different product brands including the Summit brand, the Shirokuma wall and floor mount models, the award-winning SX8 series, and the MonoMultizone which is comprised of both single and multi split systems that can be used as floor, wall, cassette, and ducted types. These devices can all be automated using a single central control system.
Utopia Product Line
Utopia offers commercial-grade units which are perfect for both indoors and outdoors. There are also different product brands under this line including the ES brand, IVX brand, and RASC centrifugal ducted type air conditioners. The ES brand is a compact line of split systems ideal for small areas like rooms and offices. The IVX brand makes use of VRF or variable refrigerant flow which allows extreme temperature flexibility and maximum user control for up to 4 split systems. The RASC are outdoor units which are ducted internally and create invisible air conditioning systems in the structure of the building.
Set Free Product Line
All Set Free units are VRF so they are excellent for maximum temperature control. These models have features that can only be found from Hitachi such as the IVX+ outdoor wall mountable units, monobloc design for space efficiency, and coil temperature control. These are high efficiency models which use minimal energy but produce reliable cooling.
Samurai Chillers Product Line
These are the largest commercial air conditioners offered by Hitachi. The models under this line are commercial and industrial water chiller air conditioners which use water to cool the air instead of the conventional air chiller models. There are several types of Samurai models including cooling-only units which only provide cooling temperature control; heat pump air-to-water units that convert air into water to chill the water; water-to-water units which use condensed water to produce chilled air; and condenserless types which automatically use compressed water and send it out to the evaporator to cool.
These models are large, but they operate quietly. They are also equipped with top of the line features such as acrylic coated condenser coils that prevent damage and maintain the high performance operation of the entire system, as well as the star delta compressor motors which optimally eliminate heat from water and allow it to be released for maximum cooling efficiency.
Conclusion
Now that you have a more detailed idea about the different product lines that Hitachi air conditioners have to offer, you can make a wiser decision with regards to the model that you will get for your home, business establishment, office workplace, or any other area. Hitachi is a trusted brand name that produces excellent products across all its product lines; air conditioners are no exception.
