Condenser

The condenser is the part of the air conditioning unit which is directly responsible for the condensation of the air. When the air is sent to the condenser, it operates together with the compressor to cool the air and then send it back to the evaporator.

Evaporator

The evaporator is the unit inside the home. As it name suggests, it allows the condensed air inside the device to evaporate, thus turning the liquid into gas. This gas is the cooled air that is released into the room, promoting a cooling effect in the room or structure.

Compressor

The compressor is a device that compresses the air, forcing the air molecules closer together. This process extracts heat from the air. After the compressor has extracted and released all of the heat of the air, the condenser turns the air into liquid form and processes it into the evaporator to again turn into air.

Exhaust Tubing

The exhaust tubing is the part of the system which is responsible for expelling all of the extra liquid from the condensation process. After condensation, the air turns into liquid. This liquid follows the pull of gravity to flow out of the device. The exhaust tubing catches all of the liquid which was not sent to the evaporator so that it can be disposed of. This prevents moisture accumulation in the air conditioning unit.

Fan

It’s important for an air conditioning unit to have a fan, especially on the side where the compressor is located. This is because the compressor is responsible for collecting the heat of the air and if the system is not exhausted properly, the heat can accumulate in the unit, causing overheating problems. The fan is a simple device that expels the heat out to keep the interior of the device cool.

Control Panel

The control panel is the interface of the device. It allows you to manipulate and navigate the air conditioner, with adjustable settings related to cooling, the time of its operation, and the movement of the grilles and louvers.
