Everything You Need to Know about Air Conditioners

The 5 Models of Sharp Portable Air Conditioners

Sharp is undeniably a popular brand of home appliances and equipment, and air conditioners are just one of its product lines. Sharp has various types of air conditioners but if you’re looking for portable units, there are five models of Sharp portable air conditioners that are available in the US region. Here are the models and their features.

CV-P10RC

This portable air conditioner has a cooling capacity of 10,000 BTU. It’s a simple yet functional device with a 3 cooling speeds and 3 fan speeds, as well as Auto-Cool and Mega-Cool functions. The unit has an LCD display with a remote control for easy distant operation. The device also features PlasmaCluster technology which keeps the air circulating in the device always clean and allergen-free. The unit has 4-directional air flow for optimal distribution and it features Library Quiet design that makes it very ideal to use even while sleeping. The device is very easy to install and fits most double-hung and sliding windows.

CV-P10PC

This unit is exactly the same as the first model, except for a small difference in weight. Otherwise, it has the very same features, appearance, and specifications. The net weight of the first model is 77 pounds while the net weight of this model is 83 pounds. If you’re price sensitive, you can go with this model as opposed to the CV-P10RC because this one will be cheaper due to its weight.

CV-P12PX

This unit is a more powerful unit with the capacity to cool up to 11,500 BTU. The same features apply with this model as the first two: 3 fan speeds, 3 cooling speeds, Mega-Cool, Auto-Cool, Library Quiet design, PlasmaCluster technology, remote control, LCD display, and 4-directional air flow. But it also has bucketless operation which recycles the condensate, which eliminates the need to use an exhaust.

CV-PD13PX

This unit also has the same features as the first three models. However, it has additional features and one major additional function: the dehumidification mode. The dehumidify function enables the device to extract moisture from the air to as high as 72 pints per day. This unit also has a dual hose design that has a hose in and a hose out to allow fresh air to come into the home and stale air to come out. The unit also has dual permanent, slide-out air filters which are washable and very useful for keeping the air clean and healthy to breathe.

CV-P13PX

This is a nearly identical unit to the CV-PD13PX. However, their difference mainly lies on the hose and the exhaust system. The hose or the duct of the previous model can be either single or double. This means that the device can use two hoses for air entry and air exit. This model only has one hose for allowing stale air to exit the device.

With regards to the exhaust system, this model has one while the previous model doesn’t. The exhaust system of the previous model is already incorporated in the dual house function so it doesn’t require an exhaust.

Conclusion

Getting a Sharp portable air conditioner isn’t a bad choice at all. In fact, getting an air conditioner from a well-known brand like Sharp is a good investment that will provide you not only with cool comfort all year long, but also lifelong customer service.
